Topic: Torture

                Torture can be defined as the action or practice of inflicting severs pain on someone as punishment or in order to force them to do or say something. Torture started during the medieval era was the people where punished by stealing, disobeying authority or just by being a minority for example a woman. Torture is practiced in nations all over the world. Terrorist and prisoners are usually the victims of torture. The prisoners can include political prisoners who have been sent to jail for disrespecting authority and disobeying the law. Till these days there are still countries that do torture practices which shouldn’t be allowed because torture is inhumane.
                Argentina has no tolerance against torture of any kind. Argentina is part of APT which is Association for the Prevention of Torture since 2002. The APT purpose is prevention is general but also promotes OPCAT ratification and effective implication in a lot of high ranked officials used torture methods in order to get the answer when the war ended. Argentina started implementing rules that prevent torture practices in the country which ended up o being part of the APT.
                Argentina encourages countries to work together and find a solution that every delegation can benefit on. For example create a treaty to prevent torture and have more meeting that focuses on torture and teaches high ranking officials the torture laws in the their countries.
