Personally I think that everything i learned in Model UN 2 is important, from learning how to write a position to learning the background of a country. I really enjoyed this year because we had a lot of topic to discuss about. The topic that really got my attention was the drug cartel one because it is a serious issue right now.. and by learning more about it, maybe we will grow up and stop the drug cartel world and achieve Nirvana.
I apply Model UN every day of my life, when it comes to discussion or arguing with someone or watching the daily news and learning something new about the world. A example can be the way we dress for a simulation, it teaches discipline by wearing formal clothes and who is going to wear jeans for a job interview. :O Thats how i apply Model UN to daily life.. discipline and responsible.

Topic: Torture
Torture can be defined as the action or practice of inflicting severs pain on someone as punishment or in order to force them to do or say something. Torture started during the medieval era was the people where punished by stealing, disobeying authority or just by being a minority for example a woman. Torture is practiced in nations all over the world. Terrorist and prisoners are usually the victims of torture. The prisoners can include political prisoners who have been sent to jail for disrespecting authority and disobeying the law. Till these days there are still countries that do torture practices which shouldn’t be allowed because torture is inhumane.
Argentina has no tolerance against torture of any kind. Argentina is part of APT which is Association for the Prevention of Torture since 2002. The APT purpose is prevention is general but also promotes OPCAT ratification and effective implication in a lot of high ranked officials used torture methods in order to get the answer when the war ended. Argentina started implementing rules that prevent torture practices in the country which ended up o being part of the APT.
Argentina encourages countries to work together and find a solution that every delegation can benefit on. For example create a treaty to prevent torture and have more meeting that focuses on torture and teaches high ranking officials the torture laws in the their countries.

Health Project
Dating violence is basically when one partner hurts the other parter physically or emotionally. Dating violence is important because by being caring, gentle, and respectful, this can prevent dating violence from happening and can save a persons life.
When a person experiences dating violence, they can experience physical, mental and even social pain.
Social - the person will trust no one and he or she experiences dating violence
Physical - includes punching, pulling hair of the female, pushing, and trowing things at a partner.
Mental - is when a person say words to kill the persons self esteem, example would be cursing at ur partner so they can feel small and useless.
In the health active I chose. Dyann becomes concerned when she realizes her friends Raye goes out with a older guy and avoids her. Now Dyann wants to help her friend but shes not sure how, she sees that Raye has a purple eye.
I choose this topic because its a very serious thing and a lot of people get hurt so by choosing this topic, people can learn ways to detect dating violence and also find ways to stop it.
I olan to maintain my health by eating less junk food and doing exercise for at least 45 minutes a day. As for my diet i will try to drink plenty of water and eat more vegetable.
